Acupuncture is among the oldest healing practices in the world. As part of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), it aims to restore and maintain health through the stimulation of specific points on the body.
Acupuncture program is conducted at SPARRC institute by Sathya Physiotherapy Centre which is affiliated to The Open International University for Complementary Medicines. Traditional Chinese Acupuncture as well as Japanese Acupuncture styles are covered in this program. Certificate is issued by the MEDICINA ALTERNATIVA, ALMA ATA 1962. The individuals eligible for the diploma course are Medical, Paramedical and those who have a background in Human Anatomy and Physiology, failing which a plain simple certification course can be done, provided the practice of Acupuncture is under Medical Supervision. Hope this clarifies your question.

Individuals with no medical or paramedical educational background are not permitted to practice acupuncture unless and until under the guidance of a doctor. You might be eligible for the diploma certification course but can practice only under the guidance of a docto

8 years agoGreat to see that you are also teaching Japanese style acupuncture techniques, as these techniques are often harder to come by as it seems that most places only teach these techniques at post graduate level, at lwast in the UK anyway.
